Our health is our asset. We must protect our health like any other asset of ours. Just imagine what we can do if we are healthy. We can work, eat, laugh, play, travels, helping others, and the list goes on….

Physical Fitness

Involving in physical activities is important to our health.  Regular exercise is one of the best thing you can do to your health. There are many types of exercises, choose the one that fits you well. Workout in the Gym, cycling, swimming, dancing, aerobics, jogging, walking. As for me, I love walking.  I will choose to walk whenever I can, I walked to work, I walked to grocery stores, and I enjoy the outdoor scenery.  Most important is to set a routine for exercise. Doing it regularly will greatly improve your health.

There is strong evidence that regular physical activity can lower your risk of:

  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • High blood pressure
  • Unhealthy cholesterol levels
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Depression

For older adults, nutrition and physical activities will improve mental health.

Spiritual Health

Spiritual health is defined as having compassion, the capacity for love and forgiveness, altruism, joy, and fulfillment. Your religious faith (if any), values, beliefs, principles, and morals define your spirituality.

You can think of spirituality as connecting to whatever you consider meaningful and holy. You can find it in God, in yourself, in other people, in nature. Spirituality offers many possible benefits, including better mood, less anxiety and depression. Spirituality can help people deal with mental depression or mental illness. Spirituality can also help you feel that you are connected to something bigger than yourself.
